An opportunity has arisen at Oasis Academy Lord's Hill for Cleaners to join our team, taking pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard and undertaking necessary procedures to assist with day-to-day maintenance.
Job overview
As part of our wider school team, you will have responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site, having awareness of security policies, maintaining supplies of cleaning materials, and working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management.
Job requirements
- Experience of undertaking general cleaning duties
- Friendly and reliable
- Take pride in keeping your designated area in the Academy in a clean condition - onsite training will be given in powered cleaning equipment if required
- Have a basic knowledge/experience of using products and equipment used in cleaning
- Have practical ability in polishing, dusting, cleaning, washing and sweeping
- Have proven ability to be able to converse positively with all staff
- Have previous experience of working in a team
- Ability to manage time effectively in order to carry out day-to-day operations and assist with the smooth running of the school
- Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people
We currently have availability for cleaners for both morning and afternoon shifts. Morning shifts are 10 hours per week (06.45am-8.45am) or afternoon shifts 15 hours per week (15.00pm-18.00pm). Please specify on your application which is your preference.
